News: Dave Balch and The Patient/Partner Project featured in The Wall Street Journal

News:
The Wellness Community has chosen Caring and Coping author, Dave Balch as the "Star of the Month" for October, 2007 in their nationwide program to honor cancer caregivers... take a look here

Our mission is to reduce stress and restore hope for cancer patients and their families.  We do this by sharing our unique perspective in order to:

  • bring a new sense of empowerment to patients and caregivers

  • bring a new level of understanding to their entire support system of medical professionals, friends, family, and support organizations

  • Oh... and by laughing, too!

Each issue features an informative article about some aspect of cancer or caregiving, plus tips and tricks, odd and ends... and some just-plain silliness.

Plus lots of humor...  What's funny about cancer??  You'd be surprised, especially since most of the humor comes from our readers!

Written by Dave Balch, author of Cancer for Two, and caregiver for his wife during four bouts of breast cancer.  Now he is on a mission to help others with resources and information he wishes he had had.  As a professional speaker, he has plenty of stories and anecdotes to share from the thousands of people in his audiences around the country.
